Bespoke Service Includes all of the following:
Pre-inspection:
- Overall condition will be assessed via images/videos sent by customer prior to acceptance of the restoration project and the throttle body mailed or dropped off to us
Break-down:
- Additional physical general inspection of throttle body and components upon arrival to us
- Complete disassembly of the throttle body and components
Restoration:
- Throttle body and all hardware/brackets are vapor honed
**Deep pitting/gouges/scratches or imperfections may not be removed via our VH process**
- All hardware and brackets are zinc plated with yellow chromate
**While zinc plating will refresh the surface of all steel components, any deep pitting or imperfections may still be present after plating.**
- All threaded holes are chased with a tap to ensure all debris is removed
Re-assembly:
- Brand new set of zinc plated butterfly screws installed with locktite
- Brand new set of quad o-rings installed and lubricated
- Brand new idle air screw o-ring installed and lubricated
- Brand new thermal wax valve o-ring and gasket installed and lubricated (optional) **Thermopellet and associated components can also be eliminated upon request**
- Brand new dash pot (OEM Mazda) installed
- Brand new set set screws stoppers installed (if necessary)
- Butterfly valves are re-sealed with proprietary throttle sealant to restore air tight factory seal
**Our sealant is resistant to chemicals like oil, alcohol, and methanol but will come off with carb/brake cleaner like the OEM sealant!!**
Turn around time for complete restoration is about 4-6 weeks.
