Description
The OEM Toyota battery tie-down for the supercharged Toyota MR2 AW11 has been NLA for many years now. In addition, there was an inherent flaw in the OEM design in that it had the potential to arc the battery given the proximity of the battery terminals. Our design matches the OEM battery size requirements but is improved by avoiding the battery terminals.
Our tie-down is made from 12 gauge stainless steel which is then precision bent and includes a TIG welded reinforcement bar. Stainless steel means no more rust! Like the OEM tie-down, our version has the provisions to mount the intercooler with the included M8 threaded PEMserts.
